Interpretation 2
Stratford Park, Stroud (Stroud District Council)

Pre-pandemic, Stratford Park welcomed around 700,000 visitors annually. It was during the pandemic that Footprint created a new look for the park. 'Space to Breathe' was Steve's intuitive response in recognising the vital importance of urban public parks and green spaces as green lungs for people and wildlife. The words were given an extra weight and significance by what was happening during the pandemic
The park is many things to many people and the new logo is not prescriptive to any one thing. The colour palette was carefully chosen to reflect the park's landscape, to minimise visual impact for signage and interpretation, while still having a strong visual presence. The design above relates to a long sign at the vehicular entrance to the park.
