Cotswold Canals Connected Interpretation Plan 2023
Heritage Lottery funded
A 98 page interpretation plan commissioned by Cotswold Canals Connected for the Phase 1B restoration of the Cotswold Canals.
Inclusivity and equity of Access is a crucial part of the interpretation for the rtestoration. This includes the youngest of towpath users.
Footprint has a long association with the Cotswold Canals going back to 2005 and the design and delivery of a number of interpretive installations in partnership with The Cotswold Canals Trust and the Proprieters of the Stroudwater Canal Company. The work for Brimscombe Port was part of a Heritage Lottery 'People's Millions' project
A National Lottery Local Heritage Initiative funded a number of interpretive pieces along the Stroudwater Navigation. The Wildlife of canal and river are celebrated on this transparent window.
Cotswold Canals Interpretation 2005-2012
Both the historical heritage and the new engineering projects that are vital to the restoration, are all included in the plan.
